The ‘Radical Lecture Series’ is open to all. Whether you are long-time Green Party member or just looking to learn more and develop your own understanding of power, society and Green politics.
While the coronavirus crisis continues to accelerate, it has revealed in true colour the deep flaws of the neoliberal capitalist system.
The grim legacy of austerity, privatisation, and decades of assaults on workers’ rights, is making itself felt in the interlocking crises we now face. But how did we get here and how do we overthrow this broken system?
The Young Greens curated a radical lecture series on Why capitalism is broken and how we can overthrow it, with inspiring activist and movement builder, Sam Coates.
The four-part series is designed to provide it viewers with a foundational understanding of how our society has been organised over the last four decades, why this is, how it is flawed, and how we transform it together.
By understanding the systemic issues of our society, we can try to change it.
Join us as we work together as a community to build knowledge and power, while learning how to effectively take action!
Part 1: Neoliberalism, privatisation and austerity
Part 2: The changing state of democracy in the UK
Part 3: People power! How we change the world when we work together
Part 4: Bringing it all together – envisioning a radically just and transformed society
